THIS MESSAGE APPLIES ***ONLY*** TO SPECIFIC CUSTOMERS IN THE LEONARD STREET AREA OF THE CLEARFIELD MUNICIPAL AUTHORITY WHO RECEIVED A DIRECT PHONE CALL INFORMING YOU THAT YOU ARE UNDER A BOIL WATER NOTICE. IF YOU WERE NOT NOTIFIED THAT YOU ARE UNDER A BOIL WATER NOTICE THIS DOES ***NOT*** APPLY TO YOU:
A short time ago, after continuing communication with Pennsylvania D E P, we have been directed by the Department that ***ONLY*** SPECIFIC CUSTOMERS WHO WERE NOTIFIED OF THIS DIRECTLY BY A TELEPHONE CALL, are now under a BOIL WATER NOTICE.
Do not drink the water without boiling it first. Bring all water to a rolling boil, let it boil for one minute, and let it cool before using; or use bottled water. You should use boiled or bottled water for drinking, making ice, washing dishes, brushing teeth, and food preparation, until further notice. When the Boil Water Notice is lifted, you will be notified by another automated telephone call, advising you that all tests have been completed and the Boil Notice is lifted. The update will also be posted on our website. Boil Notices, when they occur, can run for several days.
Landlords who receive the water bills are asked to immediately notify your tenants in the Leonard Street area of this situation.
